    Portadown RFC 1st xv

    Portadown 1st XV made the trip to Belmont on Saturday to play CIYMS.


    They started brightly and captain James Carleton registered their first
    try only minutes into the game. The conversion was missed. CI edged
    their way back in and scored 2 penalties to leave the score at 6-5 in
    their favour, However centre Ryan Purvis converted a penalty to leave
    the score at 8-6 in favour of the blues at halftime. The second half
    was dominated by the Blues with further tries scored by our half Daniel
    Tully and Ryan Purvis. Purvis converted both to leave the final score
    at 22-6. The only negative was the missed bonus point. Man of the match
    was Neil Irwin Junior.
