General project description:

The Access Alumni and students
team from Balti were sure that in
winter people have little time for
outdoor activities or games. We
thought that to be healthy is in
fashion now and the idea of the
project came from the young pupils
who were eager to practice sport
and have sport competition all year
round. Both boys and girls need,

Project justification:
After completing all the activities of the
project we realized that in our schools
pupils have little time to practice sport or
even have no desire. That was the
problem that a lot of teachers and parents
saw. Computers are the best pupils toys.
We made our young pupils to change their
computers on balls and ropes. Thats why
sport competitions were the best for them.
More than that, the equipment we bought
will allow us to organize such activities as
often as possible.

Project main goal was to promote the active and healthy life style.

Project objectives:
1. To involve teachers and pupils in sport
activities/competition.
2. To make pupils understand the importance
of sport in their life.
3. To organize sport competitions at the
school level.
4. To make parents pay attention to their
childrens interests and hobbies

Project stages
Stage 1: Interviewing peoples opinion
about sport
We created a 5-item questionnaire on
how important sport is.
Then, we interviewed people and
analyzed peoples opinion.

Stage 2: Preparing for the

Competition Event
There were pupils who designed announcement flyers and
posters for sport event. Others announced youth about the
Sport Event through flyers and social media (Facebook,
Odnoklassniki). With the help of our PE teachers and Peace
Corps volunteer, we selected the competition participants
teams and the place for competition.
It was not difficult to design the Competition stages.
Together with our teacher and assistant we bought supplies
for the competition. That was the most challenging for us,
because we had to select the suitable balls and the right
number of other sport equipment.
Creating a 5-question survey on how useful the competition
was to raise peoples awareness on sport was our last step
in this stage.

Stage 3: Organizing the

Competition
There were 8 teams of pupils from the
lyceum, aged 11-14.
There were organized 2 main
activities:
Mini football championship (4 teams
x 6 boys)
Sport exercises among 4 teams x 10
pupils

Stage 4: Evaluation of the project

impact
We interviewed competition
participants about the events and
analyzed participants opinion on the
impact the competition had.

Stage 5: Disseminating the project

results among the community
The sport committee prepared a movie
about all stages of the project and
presented it to the National ACCESS
Youth Voice competition on
december 26, 2015 and to the pupils
who were part of sport events and
their teachers.
