Description of image (Before): The above image was taken by me as an outdoor image of
students running.

Description of image (After): The after image was the one that was edited on Photoshop. I
edited the image to generate interest and focus the intention on the girl and not the other
aspects going on in the background. The tools that I used to edit the image include the crop
tool to remove the blank space and individuals in the background. Then I made the whole
image black and white and used the magic wand tool to select the parts that I wanted
coloured. To draw more attention to the girl, I then also sharpened her and changed the
saturation of the background.
What is the use? (website, flyer, leaflet)
I would use this image for a website because I have saved it as a JPEG which has resulted in
better compression, less loading time and better image quality.

Description of image before: The before image is an action shot of a group taking part in
sport, the before image contained no filters and was an ordinary picture.
Description of image after: The edited image contains a smudge stick filter and a changed
image saturation, this saturation brightened up the final image. The editing for this image
was fairly limited but had a noticeable effect on the final product when compared.
What is the use?
I would use this image for the website or possibly a leaflet if I changed the file format as with
the filter, it will engage the user and draw attention to the intended use (website/leaflet).

Description of image before: The before image contained just a collection of basketballs.
Description of image after: Because the image is quite bright and identifiable, I decided to
use the image in the wording. To do so, I used the clipping mask tool to clip the image and
the text together.
What is the use?
I would use this image as either a subtitle for a leaflet or even website. Due to it being a font
it can be used in a variety of formats.

Description of before image: An image of individuals taking part in a fitness test activity.
Description of image after: I did a basic edit with this image by simply adding a filter on top
of the original. The filter was called cross hatch. This filter added a multi-coloured glow this
makes the image attractively appealing and draws in the attention of the target audience.
What is the use?
I would use this image for the website, as it is quite dark and may not draw in the attention
of the audience if printed onto a leaflet.
