Need and Gaps Analysis
While participating in the blog world myself, and not completely ready to call myself a
PRO, I do have a grasp on, and experience of starting websites and blogs. I soon realized through
networking, observations and social indicators such as interactions, that blogging is something
that many wish they could do, yet they have nowhere to start. I understand that the world of
online marking and blogging is becoming more popular each day. And with this reality, many
people are interested in internet marketing, and blogging, just as I.
Gap Analysis Techniques: Observations, Social Indicators, and informal interactions
with colleagues, friends, family and acquaintances.
Observation of people behaviors, and trends is evidence that blogging is becoming more
prevalent with individuals as well as business. The observation of peoples behaviors show that
learning is expressed by the outward expression of new behavior within certain trends. This
includes, blogging, using You Tube, Insta Gram, and other online tools. Technology is very
important within the internet marketing field, and within that marketing field is a platform
known as blogging. Many business are now using blogging as a means to connect with
customers; and expand their business and brand name. Moreover, many individuals are changing
their behaviors by learning the value of blogging and computer technology through classical, and
operant conditioning. Moreover, as an anticipated result for its potential to evolve into a
business. As a result, expanding educationally, by taking online courses, and webinars as an
attempt to learn the basics of this new phenomenon. Blogging invites potentially new eyes, and
new customers to your business, idea, and or product. Posting daily increases traffic and 53
percent more awareness (Treanor, Marc).

5
Interviews are informal online discussions which provide a large platform for a multitude
of people to express their dreams, and show their talent. Many of the interviews conducted via
online consist of people such as (Authors, mentors, life coaches, relationship coaches, and
business coaches) who pose straight forward statements and invites such as, How to turn
blogging into a Business; Learn how to Blog, and Sign Up to Learn to Blog; etc., as a method to
invite non bloggers who are interested in blogging, to do so via an online course, web, or
workshop training. Teaching others to blog has actually become big business.
Social Indicators reflect that the way people learn are progressing at a fast pace. The
effects of progressive technology and change learning behaviors inhibit these social indicators.
James Mark Baldwin, an American child psychologist introduced different learning throughout
his tenure. Theories that suggest that under certain conditions, learned behaviors can affect the
directions and rate of evolutionary change by natural selection. Which describes these conditions
as cultural inherited factors favorable to behaviors in question that either already exist, crop up,
or stimulated by the change in question (Godfrey-Smith, chap 3, this volume). Regarding the
question or pursuit of blogging; the culture is changing in the way it does business, and
communicate with others online. These new learning and teaching conditions are now changing
the way business and others connect with one another, and how the culture has to change if it

6
wishes to keep up with ever-changing technology and teaching methods.

Training Program Part III

Budget
The budget for this training program is fairly low cost. Yes, there is a cost to own a blog if one is
to consider the price of internet service, and the yearly cost to maintain the blogs website, and or
hosting abilities. Considering that the large influx of bloggers; and the market for catering too

8
personal and company bloggers, the surge of hosting companys such as A Weber, GatorHost,
and other popular blog and website hosting companies. These hosting sites charge little to no
charge for hosting capabilities. The cost estimates to the following will have little to no impact
on an organizations budget:
Personnel
Fringe Benefits
Materials
Equipment
Travel
Facilities
Supplies
Miscellaneous

Each category is taken into consideration during the planning process of the training program.
Mainly because budgets may determine if programs are embraced or enforced within
organizations. The Personnel for this planning program will consist of train educators, and
instructors who are familiar with e-courses, with the ability to navigate online computer usage,
while understanding the lingo. Many organizations already staff trainers and instructors;
therefore, negating the need to seek outside trainers, which may charge a fee.
Fringe benefits for this type of training or as follows: the training may be replayed, and
revisited for further participant understanding. Operating a blog from within the company, and
managed by trained instructors saves the cost of outsourcing, which saves money for the
company.

9
As mentioned before many trainers within organizations are maintaining and operating
the social media platforms within the organizations. Although, some organizations are hiring
social media teams to operate this platform for their company to get the best possible results.
Some companies are require to have a website, blog and other social medias implemented for the
advancement of the business; and there are a large array of companies and individuals which can
accommodate these needs; starting from no cost to low cost. It all depends on how sophisticated
a company desire for its SM platform. As stated earlier internal trainers may be trained in this
area to alleviate paying any external staff.
The materials the participants will use is a personal computer, pen, and paper for notes
screen which are already a part of the company supply arsenal. Technical support for internal
computer glitches will be resolved by in-house IT support. Any technical difficulties that may
arise from the program being used will consist of a toll-free number, which offers daily customer,
or e-mail response service referred by the planner. The program is preplanned, and designed with
a step by step process which deters the use of customer service representatives. This program is a
step by step process, and has little room for failure. More importantly, the only problems which
may rise is from the web hosting company, and in this case representatives are on hand and able
to assist any participant who has signed up with the hosting company.
Equipment used for this training will only consist of a computer and a projector screen.
There will be no travel required for this training since the facilities can take place in the privacy
of a home, or a company. The supplies are all those listed above: laptop, website connection and
pen and paper. Miscellaneous items to have available are toll free numbers and email addresses
for customer service personnel.

10
The income estimates for internet connection is about fifty dollars a month for most
individuals and companies. Utilizing a hosting service such as AWeber starts at about $20 a
month, or less. Pens and paper; cost are $50. And finally, miscellaneous charges may range
about $50.
Staffing Plan IV
The required qualifications for the trainers will consist of college educated with at least a
bachelors degree in business, marketing or training field; and advanced computer knowledge.
Moreover, knowledge of online teaching tools. The trainers will have to have the ability to attain
recent training for or a refresher course on what they should already be familiar with such as.
Web page designing and manager and content curator. Considering the new and advanced
technologies and online learning tools most in-house trainers should already be equipped with
most computer, web and blog designing information. As stated earlier external staff will consist
of experts in the field on blogging and blog implementation.
Establishing and implementing a blog can take as little as 1-24 hours to implement. It
simple depends on the learner. Fortunately, the staff for this particular training has to do is
deliver the message, and instruct the participants as needed hands on. Web designing, and
content curator in most instances, in its early stages utilize only one person. As the blog or
website becomes more popular, and require more upkeep, and support more staffers can
contribute to deliver the message for the company. Once Again, the available internal staffers
will participant in training of participants. Alongside in house trainers external resources will
consist of customer service agents to assist with any potential problems. Other than these internal

11
and external resources there is nothing else required for this in-house, or homebased blog
implementation training.
The resource gap analysis is going to receive consideration at the beginning, middle, and
end of the training course. Depending on these analysis, more changes and implementations
may require other training method consideration. The considerations will consist of staff
performance, knowledge and the participants outcome, understanding and necessity of the
program.

Communication Plan VI
The communication plan included into the training program will include our goals,
objectives and the reason for the training. The communication plan may include the audience,
and trainers who may assist with conducting the training. The marketing message will simply
invite participants within the organization to open their minds to new communication techniques.
One of these techniques is blogging. Blogging is a form of social media and social media have a
specific structure and pattern to them. In order to engage them well, organizations need to
understand the fundamental building blocks of Social Media (Kanter & Fine, 2010, pg., 27).
There are a few marketing messages we would like to convey to participants. One is that that
blogging is a means to interact and communicate with others. Blogging within organizations will
allow employees to communicate amongst each other, as well as make suggestions, and give
input regarding company issues. Blogging as an individual, or for a hobby may soon evolve into
a full blown business which can bring in a lucrative income. The logo for the training IS Blog
Masters, and the slogan is; Blogging, the New Means of Social Interactions and Financial
Stability.
Again, the training will consist of teaching willing participants the basics of
implementing a blog. The benefits is that blogging within the organization will allow the public
to have a firsthand view of what an organization is about, including its mission statement, its
visions, and its future endeavors. This aspect of business will allow businesses of all sorts to
allow transparency with their customers. Some of the instructional practices we will allow for
participants is the decision to work at their own pace. This program is a hands on training
program and may be self-taught, as well. This simply means the program will consist of

13
instructional modules that one may follow in chronological order for blog, website, and hosting
implementation. Other instructional practices will consist of using Power Points to better explain
what is necessary for blog implementations, and delivery. Utilizing these types of instructional
practices will allow the participant freedom of learning at ones own pace. Considering these,
and other aspects of will result in a participants positive impact regarding the training.
The promotional channels we will incorporate: Insta Gram, Twitter, e-mail subscribers,
and Facebook. Implementing these platforms will allow even more expansiveness of the
company Instagram has over 400 million users, and many of them stay connected to companies,
friends, mentors, and public figures through this channel of social media (Kharpal, Sept). Twitter,
is a social media platform used mostly by business and journalist for the delivery and exchange
of information, articles, and other content. Twitter has a total population of 320 million active
subscribers. Email subscribers will be attracted by offering free information such as a white
paper, infographics, and or e-books on information about blogging: Facebook on the other hand,
has an astounding amount of users listed at 1.55 billion as of the third quarter of 2015 (Statista,
January). The rationale is that larger amounts of people will have access to the advertising of the
training program. Using these platforms will allow any company to have a global impact.

Program Evaluation VII

14
Many experience program planners have found [that] planning programs is not a step by
step process (Caffarella, 1994, p.17). The Interactive Program Model is a source for planners to
refer to when planning programs. The steps within this model requires no specific order of
planning, and it has multiple components for planners to visit and implement during the planning
process. Moreover, there is no specific order of implementation for the program model, and it
depends on the planner themselves. Therefore, starting with the evaluation process will ensure a
much needed program.
Before the program is implemented by in-house trainers, who are responsible for
teaching, implementing and overseeing the program; the in-house mangers and trainers are
responsible for evaluation and assessment, also; and will conduct multiple forms of data
collection for program assessments and evaluations.
The purpose of the evaluation is to understand present and future needs of potential
participants. The evaluation will determine metrics such as; programs needed, or wanted by
participants; the evaluation will determine what is working, such as: online teaching tools, online
teaching techniques, and teaching content. However these assessments can change repeatedly.
The results will allow the program planners to change, and or alter old and new training
programs, which should make for happy participants.
Some evaluation techniques which we will utilize to measure the metrics around our
learning programs will consist of incorporating online learning tools such as data analytics.
These types of tools will offer fast and accurate online assessments. Moreover, adding these
analytics into the company learning management system will enhance the, actions of measuring
the programs viability.
