EXPERIENCE
Intern Teacher, Towne Meadows Elementary; Gilbert Public
Schools- Fall 2015
Observed instructional practices of my mentor teacher, to assist me with my
development in the iTeach program at ASU. Assisted my mentor teacher with students in
the class who needed additional assistance during lessons. Taught one science lesson
on the solar system and one reading lesson plan on prefixes.

Intern Teacher, Whitman Elementary; Mesa Public SchoolsSpring 2015


Observed instructional practices of my mentor teacher, to assist me with my
development in the iTeach program at ASU. Took students to the back room for remedial
math assistance on a daily basis. Taught one lesson plan on argumentative writing.

Loss Prevention Agent, Nordstrom; Tucson, AZ, Woodland Hills,

CA, Peoria, AZ- 2011-2013


Duties included monitoring the sales floor via camera and on the floor observations, to
deter theft and apprehend shoplifters. Worked hand in hand with the department and
inventory managers to monitor inventory, on and off of the sales floor. Provided weekly,
quarterly, and annual inventory reports to the store manager. Trained newly hired loss
prevention team members on the duties and standards set by the company. Was
awarded the Loss Prevention Diamond Award in 2012 for highest amount of shoplifting
cases in the state of Arizona. Before I left the company in 2013 to focus on school, I was
in the Manger in Training program.

Paint and Flooring Associate, The Home Depot; Tucson, AZ2010-2011


Assisted customers with their home improvement projects, primarily in the paint and
flooring department. Took initiative to maintain a clean and safe environment for the
customers that went beyond the minimum standards practiced at the store. Educated
newly hired employees on the skills needed to provide superior knowledge to the
customers, for their home improvement projects. Provided weekly flooring and paining
demonstrations for the customers at the front of the store to educated them how to
properly execute their projects.

Infantry Rifleman, United States Marine Corps, Twentynine


Palms, CA- 2006-2010
Operated weapons and equipment in ground combat operations. Deployed to Iraq twice
in mobilized assault platoons as an up-armored vehicle driver. Was the personal driver of
the battalions Lt. Colonel in a security detachment platoon. Duties included maintaining
a clean and operational vehicle, ready to depart at a moments notice, for high level Iraqi
leadership meetings. Trained new Marines on the weapons and tactics used for future
deployments. Was awarded the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal for consecutive
years of honorable and faithful service to the Marine Corps and the United States
military. Received my eight years of honorable service certificate in May of 2014.

Little League Umpire, Canyon Del Oro Little League; Oro Valley,
AZ- 2006
Officiated little league baseball games in the 10-12 age group. Ensured the
sportsmanship of the players, the coaches, and the parents were met, to provide a

pleasant experience for all involved.

Fast Food Cashier and Food Preparer, Eegees Deli; Tucson, AZ2004-2006
Maintained the high standards of the customer experience by providing outstanding
customer service during fast paced operations. Handled credit and currency transactions
with attention to detail to maintain a balanced drawer. Took initiative to maintain a clean
working environment and dining experience for the customers. Maintained attention to
detail while preparing orders to avoid mistakes to the customers food as well as meeting
safe food preparations. Cross trained with other team members to ensure the high
standards of the company was met.

INTEREST/HOBBIES
Baseball, astronomy, biology, geology, history, art, and politics. I am currently playing on
a mens 25 and older baseball league. I am also interested in assistant coaching
baseball on a youth club team or umpiring in a league near the Gilbert area.
