Research Paper: Ebola
Ebola was first identify in 1976 but was spread again in 2014 throughout western
Africa mostly in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. When Ebola strike again it wasnt a
big deal for the U.S. until a man flew from Liberia to Dallas and was diagnosed with
Ebola. Ebola is a virus that causes severe bleeding, organ failure and can also lead to
death but the virus can only spread through body fluids. As the virus hit the land of
America we tried to stop the spreading, the U.S. medical system is very advanced that
the health officials were able to stop the spreading. The United States already know
that thousands have died from Ebola in the western countries of Africa but what did the
U.S. helped in Africa to control this disease?
The Pentagon officials allowed 25-bed portables hospital just in Liberia but once
it came to the United States Obama wanted to do more to help not just Liberia but also
Sierra Leone and Guinea. The director of Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention
has no doubt in his mind that he can control this case of Ebola(). President Obama
offered help to Liberia and wanted to construct 17 treatment center also with 1,700 of
treatment beds. The U.S. is also going to send more troops to west Africa to provide
more health care to calm the situation, engineers to build facilities and the government
is going to send some treatment kits to Liberia. The United States is the only one that
has the advance medical system and in order to prevent this crisis to reach the United
States we have to stop and treat it in Africa.

When Ebola came to America and effect at least five people it was a big fuse. It
was a big deal to warn people about the disease to make sure the people are cautious
and get vaccines shots. To pick this article was very interesting, I remember Ebola
made it to big news, which wanted me to research on Ebola a little bit more. From the
articles I have learned more about Ebola. First I learned how Ebola can spread, second
on how it came to America and third of all how the U.S. tried to help fight Ebola in Africa.
If the U.S. didn't try to help stop the virus then it would most likely have spread through
the United States.
Throughout history we have encounter many diseases from the Europeans
infecting Native American with smallpox to the yellow fever to swine flu and now Ebola.
With these illness getting to America it cause an outbreak and epidemic. Once Ebola
affect a man that came to the United States it almost cause an epidemic. Without our
medical system we wouldn't be able to stop the spreading, if we couldn't stop the virus
than Ebola would have affected all of us. Ebola will be another illness that has reached
the United States, it would be relevant to history to know the United States helped Africa
with this crisis and we were able to contain the spreading in the U.S.A.
