KURDISH DEMO OUTSIDE UK PARLIAMENT TO CONDEMN TURKISH STATE MASSACRES IN TURKEYS KURDISH REGION 5th January 2016, 12pm Curfews declared by the Turkish state in Kurdish towns and sieges by Turkish state forces have been ongoing since August 14th 2015. At least 170 civilians have been killed in tank shelling, sniper fire and mortar attacks by the Turkish army and special operations police teams. Hundreds of people have been tortured, injured and arrested, including town mayors and Kurdish activists. 3-month-old baby Miray and her 80 year old old grandfather were killed by sniper fire Cizre while 57 year old Taybet Inan was shot and bled to death in Silopi as state forces prevented her body from being recovered for seven days. Hundreds of human rights violations are being committed by the Turkish state every day in circumstances which are threatening to spiral out of control into civil war. People are being forced to leave their homes and migrate out of the towns and districts under curfew: Cizre, Silopi, Nusaybin, Sur and others. The European Court of Human Rights has requested that Turkey give reasons for the extended curfew in the Kurdish region. We, as the Kurdish people and their friends in the UK, are going to demonstrate outside the UK Parliament on 5th January 2016, 12pm to raise awareness of the terror being wrought on the Kurdish people and to demand that the UK government condemn and bring sanctions against the Turkish state, AKP government and its President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Recently Tayyip Erdogan cited Hitlers Nazi Germany as a model for a future presidential system in Turkey. The actual situation in the country and its Kurdish region is not dissimilar to Nazi Germany, as Kurds are being targeted just for being Kurdish. We believe that the media is capable and primarily responsible for getting the world to hear the Kurds cry for democracy, freedom and recognition in the Middle East.
