Fire protection methods

Fire protection is considered as an important and unavoidable requirement in any kind of

building in the world. That is why the requirement of fire protection is felt at high level. Safety is
a provided and ensured by this method to people and their properties.
Fires in building generally start from a small source of ignition, the outbreak of fire, which leads
to the spread of fire, followed by a steady state during which all combustible material burns
steadily up to a final decay stage.
By this fire not only building properties, people will also be affected suddenly. Therefore a
proper fire protection is compulsory. This fire can occur by electrical shortage, blasting of gas
cylinder etc. We con not prevent happening ignition always, but we can protect by using a proper
fire protection method.
Fire protection
Fire protection method is divided in to two main categories. They are,
1. Active fire protection this is activated when fire happens
2. Passive fire protection this is applied before fire happens
The selection of fire protection method depends on some various factors such as the fire
resistance requirements, environment, appearance, and cost, etc.
Fire protection needs three key properties. These are shown below.
