INTRODUCTION TO TRIANGLE

We know that a close figure formed by

three intersecting lines is called a
Triangle .
A triangle has three sides and three
vertex . For example = in triangle ABC ,
denoted as ABC AB, BC,CA are three
sides A , B , C are three and A,B,C are
three angles and ABC are three vertex

CLASSIFICATION OF TRIANGLE

DIFFERENT TYPES OF TRIANGLE

Right Angle Triangle

Equilateral Triangle

Scalene Triangle

Isosceles Triangle

Obtuse Angle

Acute Triangle

MEDIAN

What is a Median ?
A median connects a vertex of a triangle
to the mid point of the opposite side ,
that is called median .
There are 3 median in the triangle .

ALTITUDE

What is a Altitude ?
This line containing the opposite side is
called the extended base of
thealtitude.
There are 3 altitude in the triangle .

EXTERIOR ANGLE

Anexterior angle is formed by one

side of atriangleand the extension
of an adjacent side of thetriangle.
A exterior angle of a triangle is
equal to the sum of its interior
opposite angles .

PYTHAGORAS PROPERTY

Pythagoras is said to have found the very

important property of right angled triangle
called Pythagoras theorem . The property has
been named after him as he is believed to have
been the first to give a proof of this property .
The theorem started as :
In a right angled triangle . The square of the
hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the square of
other two sides .
