Cell Communication
Reflection #1

This project aided me in the specifics of the stages of cell signaling. We chose epinephrine
and vision. In the epinephrine response, the G-Protein Coupled Receptor was activated when the
epinephrine docked. The G-Protein was then activated by GTP and it moved to the Adenyl
Cyclase. A free ATP is then converted into the secondary messenger cAMP. That then activates
Protein Kinase A which inhibits the synthesis of glycogen, and promotes it to be broken down
into glucose. I still struggle with some of the steps.
