JUDGING
Decisions made by the Judge(s) will be based upon the guidelines included in the Ontario
Judging and Exhibiting Standards for Horticulture and Floral Design 2003(OJES) in
conjunction with any criteria included in the Show Schedule specific to the Division/Class.
Criteria stated in the Show Schedule take precedence over OJES.
Decision(s) of the Judge(s) is/are final.
EXHIBITING/PLACING EXHIBITS
The decision(s) of the AGM Show Chair(s) regarding exhibit queries/placement is binding.
Exhibitors must be registered for AGM 2016 in order to place exhibits into the Show.
Exhibitors are allowed one entry per class.
Exhibitors are requested to fill out an entry tag, Included on the upper portion of the entry
tag that remains visible on the show table, are the Section, Class #, Class name & botanical
name (if possible). The information on the lower portion of the entry tag should be
securely turned under so that the exhibitors name is not visible. Please include
Your Name & Club/Society. This information is essential for accurate record
keeping of AGM show statistics.
In order to encourage the educational aspect of Shows, it is requested that exhibitors
make every effort to include proper botanical (Latin) names, in addition to the common
name, or name given for the Class. There is a good deal of reference material available for
this purpose, including nursery catalogues, books, tags from purchases etc.. The judge(s)
look(s) upon labelling/identification favourably.
Containers for specimens: shall be provided by the exhibitor; shall be clean, clear,
uncoloured glass.
ENTRY DEADLINES
Exhibits must be in place & exhibitors must have left the Show Room(s)
no later than 8:45 AM. No late entries will be accepted.
Judging will begin at 9:00 AM.

must be named
Collection, Spring Blooms, (any combination of bulbs, corms, rhizomes, annuals,
perennials), 3 different varieties and/or species, 3 stems/scapes, one (1) container,
must be named
Collection, 3 leaves, different cultivar (variety) or species, one (1) container,
must be named
Container-Grown Plants (all containers to be MAX 25cm/10)

own design of choice

Each Society/Club may place a maximum of two entries in this Section (different
members in teams).
The exhibit must fit into a table space of 30 x 30
On entry tag affixed to the exhibit include, clearly PRINTED:
(i)
Club/Society & team members
(ii)
List of plant materials used in exhibit to be viewed by judge
Plant material must be incorporated into the exhibit.
Soil and/or potted plants permitted
The use of dyed/sprayed fresh plant material is prohibited
The use of painted/sprayed material (other than fresh) is permitted
Accessories are allowed

DIVISION III PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION


Entries must be received no later than 15 April 2016

PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS

Photos must have been taken by the exhibitor within the last 24 months and NOT
previously shown at an AGM..
One entry per Class per exhibitor is permitted.
All prints must incorporate some horticultural content.
Prints may be in colour or black and white.
Prints may be digital or film in origin.
Actual prints (portion submitted on photographic paper) must be a minimum of 4 X 4 &
may not exceed 4x 6"
Discretion is advised regarding the inclusion of people & pets in photographs submitted
for adjudication
Prints must be mounted on a 5 x 7" piece of white cardboard.
On your traditional entry tag affix to cardboard on the bottom right hand corner and
include Class #, Title, Name of Exhibitor, and Club/Society.
Entries must be picked up at the end of the meeting. Unredeemed entries will not be
returned to exhibitors.

Exhibitors, please follow the arrows through the drive through around the
East side of the church (Gerrard Rd. side) to the exhibitors entrance for easy
access to the show room.
