Dear Brittany,
I am composing this letter containing my narrative essay, Rhetorical analysis essay, Explorative
research essay. Using the four key elements to be able to write these three essays. The writer,
reader, text and medium. Identifying the purpose and call to write for each essay. Identifying
my audience and using rhetorical sensitivity to best reach the reader and adapting to their
needs to best communicate my message
Narrative essay I chose to write about was a very traumatic accident that happened in my life
when I was 3. some revisions I had made to my narrative was adding specific details and using
the five senses to make the story come alive to the reader. In the essay I needed to identify the
scene and add more descriptive words . The summary was needing to guide the reader through
quicker to the scene and main focus.

Exploration research essay, the topic I chose was Scientology. I chose this topic because I really
did not know much about Scientology and it was interesting to me. I felt I could have an open

mind to be able to consider different perspectives. Analyzing the rhetorical situation as a

researcher, asking questions about what I am trying to accomplish. Considering the
expectations for my project. Choosing credible resources . Some revisions I made to this essay
was identifying the viewpoints and writing them out to guide the reader so they are not
frustrated of confused about each viewpoint. I tried to explain the beliefs a bit more in my
summary and more of the founder to get a better understanding of how it got started. The
organization is very controversial not just because of the celebrities, but they do draw
attention form social media. Most of Scientology's controversy is the many legal scandals it has
been involved in.
I feel I have grown as a writer through out this course. I have new skills to use as a writer and
identifying the audience and focusing on the purpose to write. whether it is to inform,
persuade, or take action. To be a great writer you also need to be a great reader and focus on
what message the writer is trying to convey , identifying the tone and voice. Also with
that being said to improve your skill you need to study it and practice it to get better. I have
noticed a difference in my writing from when I started and now. I will continue to use the skills
that I have learned with me and continue to practice and become a stronger writer.
