culture in television, music, literature, and art shows how fun and satisfying it can be to quickly
have that intimate relationship with your partner, why should we do wait? Where are the sources
that show us the glories of waiting?
In the Bible we learn that fornication is an abomination. We learn that adultery is against
the commandments of God. The couple of pattern, Adam and Eve, were commanded to cleave to
each other. The Patriarch Joseph of Egypt shows us an example as he refuses to be with
Potiphar's wife. Jesus Christ teaches that even the thought (and not just the action) of lusting
after someone is against God's ways.
Book of Mormon scriptures also teach us that marriage is sacred. Jacob teaches the great
sorrow of those cheated in a relationship, and also God's disappoint in the unfaithful partner. All
of these examples are good for explaining the background of this moral standard, yet they dont
not yet answer the why.

wait is still very low.

truth. Whether discovered in a scientific laboratory or given through revelation, all truth comes
from God. Knowing that waiting to have sexual relations until marriage can be seen through
religious teaching. It is also interesting to see that whether couples marry or not, the longer they
wait to have sex has been shown to have an influence on the quality and longevity of their
relationship. If you are interested in having a long and loving relationship with theat person you
love, remember, that the truth is that it is better to wait. As Carroll states at the end of the article,
While true love does indeed wait, it may actually work the other way around waiting helps
create true love.
