3. Adult Living: As an adult, where do you want to live?

After completing the cabinet making certificate, Jack will live independently with at least one roommate.

4. Community Participation: As an adult, what hobbies and activities do you want to have?
Jack will continue to volunteer at the Happy Valley Fair as well as participate with his church group in Habitat for Humanity homes in the
Happy Valley community.

Recommendations to Assist Student in meeting Post-Secondary Goals:

Jack is a hard working young man. His wood working skills are exemplary and he has excellent attention to detail in this area. He will need some
extra time and instruction to adjust to a new learning environment at MCTI. He will need accommodations of double time and tests read in the
academic portion of the cabinet making program. Although Jack has a driver's license he is most comfortable driving with another adult especially in
unfamiliar areas. A recently purchased GPS has assisted Jack in building confidence with independent driving. He may need several practice trips
to and from MCTI before his courses begin. Jack may benefit from working with Disability Network Lakeshore when he is ready to move out on his
own.
