48.0,fortheiFixitproject.

Summary
Inthismemo,wewillreporttheproblemswehaveencounteredwhileworkingonthe
SamsungGalaxyTab48.0foriFixIt.TheSamsungGalaxyTab48.0,alsoknownas
theSamsungSMT335,waslaunchedonApril1,2014.The8inchtabletispoweredby
a1.2GHzquadcoreprocessor,hasamultiwindowfunctionality,anda3MP
resolution.Wewilllistourcompletedtasks,informyouofourcurrentwork,andexplain
theremainingresponsibilitiestobecompletedfortheiFixitproject.

ThebiggestproblemwehaveencounteredsofarwasattainingthecorrectURLforour
troubleshootingpage.Thoughdifficultywasexperienced,ourworkwasluckilysaved
aftertheTechnicalWritingTeamaddedthestudentflagtothetroubleshootingwiki.

Afterfurtherresearch,wefeltthattheproposedtroubleshootingtopicrebootingwas
imprecise.Toprovideanefficientandsalienttroubleshootingpage,wereplacedthe
rebootingtroubleshootingguidewithonefocusingonthetabletnotturningon.

CompletediFixitTasks
Gettingstarted:JoinedaniFixitteam,researched,andcreatedaproposal
TogetstartedontheiFixitTechnicalWritingproject,eachteammembersigned
upandjoinedastudentteamwiththetagname:CSUFBRUCEF15S1G3.
Thoroughresearchwasdoneonthedevice(SamsungGalaxyTab48.0)to
determinethetopicsforthetroubleshootingpageandguides.
ApprovalfortheproposalwasreceivedfromtheiFixitTechnicalWritingTeam.

 Includedinthedevicepageisanimageofthetablet,thoroughinformation
describingthedevice,threehelpfullinks,andthreesupportquestionswith
answerstoallowforeasymaneuveringbetweentheguides.
CurrentWork
Atthismoment,wehavecompletedthetroubleshootingpageandourleader,Ofelia
Cruz,submitteditonOctober12.Wearecurrentlyworkingonourfirstguidepage:
replacingthebattery.Weareintheprocessofdismantlingourtabletandtakinggreat
qualityphotostoaddtotheguides.

RemainingWork
Asoftoday,wewillworkonthereplacementguidesforourdeviceandsubmitthe
completedfrontfacingcamerareplacementguidebyOctober29.Wewillcontinueto
dismantletheSamsungGalaxyTab48.0.Theproposedguidesforthebackfacing
camera,thepowerlockbutton,andtheLCDscreenwillbecompletedonNovember9
andreadytobereviewedbyourpeers.Also,wewillneedtoworkonourevaluation
memoinordertosubmititbyNovember12.
