viewedtothegeneraleye.
Therhetorineachoftheseisthecreatorofeachindividualtopicandeachexamplegiven
forit.Thecreatorsoftheprotestsignssuchascivilrightssignsarethepeoplewhowanttosend
amessagetotheworld.Theywanttogetitpublicallynoticedthatblacksarebeingtreatedbadly
andtheyhavetovoiceitinorderforotherstohelpthemendracism.

protests,boycottsaswellasothertypesofprotestingtechniqueslikemarchingwithposterstoo
whichincludeofsomerepresentingandvoicinghow#BlackLivesMatterandothers
exclaiminghowWhiteSilence=WhiteConsent.Teachersarealsojoiningthesilentprotest
movementwheretheydo
notgoandshouthowtheyneedhigherpayandmoreschoolsupplies
inthestreets,butinsteadtheyarewearingredtosupportacauserevolvingaroundhowteachers
shouldgetbetterpayandtheyshouldberepresentedbetterinthepubliceducationsystem.

haveequalrightsjustlikeeveryoneelse,andalsonegativelytheothersideoftheargument

placeforanAfricanAmericanbabyisinthewomb.Aswellasdrunkdrivingwarningsand
puttinganendtodomesticviolenceandpublicnewspaperadvertisementsforjobslocatedin
closerangetothereaderitwasintendedtobereadby.
Politicalcartoonshadtherhetorofwho
createdthemaswellbecausethepersonwhoillustrateditandthenalsowhoputwordstothe
cartoonaswellaretheoneswhoholdthepowerinwhattheviewersgettoseeorhowtheimage
wasdesignedtobeviewed.Seeingimagesofthesepostersbeingusedinprotests,andthe
politicalcartoonsdisplayedincitiesforthepublictoseeandadditionallytheexamplesthatwere
usedforadvertisementswhileconsideringthecreatorsofthesecartoons,advertisementsand
protestsastherhetors,showshowthepeoplecreatingthemhavethepower.
Theseindividuals
decidehowtheywanttoputouttheirmessageinorderforthepublictorespondtowhatisbeing
exposedtothem.Theyholdthepoweraswellasthosewhoaretheviewersbecauseeveryone
addstheirowninputintotheworldwhetheritisbeneficialornotanditisuptoeveryoneto
maketheirownmarkandtakeastandforwhattheythinkisright,whattheywant,orhowthey
wanttotakeactionontowhatisbeingshowntothem.
Theaudienceforprotestsignsarethepeoplewhoareviewingthembecauseprotestsare
meanttograbtheviewersattentionandcuriositytogettheminvolvedandseewhatisgoingon
withintheirstatementsandactionsofacertaintopic.Forexample,howtheaudienceforthe
protestsforteachersgettingequalpayarethemainpeoplewhowillbetheoneswhowillmake
thechangeintheirpay.Whenviewingadvertisementstheaudienceiswholooksatorglances

tobuyoneoftheirproducts,theaudienceissupposedtodothatinorderforthecompanyto
makeprofitoffofthebillboardaswellaswhattheyaredistributingorwhatmessagetheyare
tryingtosendtothepublic.Theaudienceforjobadvertisementsinnewspapersaremeantfor
thepeoplewhoaretryingtogetjobsnotthepeoplewhoareexplaininghowtheyarehiring.The
peoplewhoseethedoorknobadvertisementsforthingslikecarwashesoryardworkarethe
audiencesforthoseadvertisementsaswell.Companiesknowthattheyhavethepowerin
advertisementsbecausetheyhaveawayofshapingthepubliceyealmosttalkingitintoinvesting
intowhattheyareadvertisingaboutbythewaytheydisplaytheiradsonanytypeofmaterialistic
thingmakingtheviewereagertowantwhatthecompanyhastoofferthem.Theaudiencefor
politicalcartoonsarethosewhoseethecartoonsanddecidehowtheywanttorespondthemand
whatactionstheywanttotakebasedonhowtheyfeelbyviewingthecartoonthemselves.The
audienceherehasthepowerbecausetheyaretheoneswhogettotakewhattheylearnedor
retainedfromthesepoliticalcartoonsandmakeanydecisionstowardsoragainstthecartoons
messageormeaning.
Followingthis,themessagesformedfromprotestssignsdependonwhatisbeing
protested.Eachprotestcouldhaveadifferentmeaningitdependsonwhetheritisprooragainst
acertaintopicbeingprotestedabout.Thesituationsbuiltwithineachsubjectarehowthe
protestorsaredoingtheirprotestsandmarchesforthepeoplebuttheyweresothatproblems
wouldchangeforthemselves.Whilepoliticalcartoonswerecreatedandpostedforthepublicto
seeandchangewhateverwasintendedorlearnaboutthemessagethecreatorwastryingto
portrayforthepublictoview.Adssuchasbillboards,newspaperorcatalogads,andproduct
doorknobadvertisementsforanexamplelawncompaniesarecreatedforpersonalprofitforthe

business.Thesetypesofproductbasedadvertisementsarenotmeantforthecustomertobenefit
fromitsmeantforthecompanytobenefit.
Intheend,thereisabeliefthatadvertisementsarethestrongestformofgenresinthisset.
AlthoughbypersonalopinionandbeliefProtestsignsandmovementsarepartofthebiggest
movementsonecando.Newspaperadvertisementswerebiggerintheoldendaysandsowere
politicalcartoonsevenearlier.Currentlythoughprotestssignsarethebiggestformofgetting
someonetochangeandsendingamessageandstakingyourclaim.
