second revised progression essay
The biggest question that every high school students ask themselves these days is
College really worth it? Yes, college is worth it in many ways. College is beneficial because it
will benefit the student if they pursue the right degree that would guarantee them a satisfying and
comfortable life. There are many degrees that will benefit them or that will not get them far. That
is why they must really look into other degrees that their universities offer them. That will
benefit them for a life that they deserve. College will provide them a good home, a nice car, and
take good care of their own families.
According to the book Worthless by Arron Clarey, only certain degrees will benefit a
student a comfortable life, such as the obvious degrees, like being a Doctor, a nurses, an
engineer, only specific engineers such as mechancical and electrical engineering. Therapists,
psychologists, teachers, and mechanics. These degrees are high paid degrees, such as having a
medical degree in being a doctor, doctors have one of the highest paid annual salaries. They
make a minimum 240,000 USD- the most 300,000 USD every year. Nurses make about 150,000
USD- the most 180,000 USD every year. Now engineers, they make around 52,000-85,000 USD
a year. Psychologists and therapist salaries depend on the company they are in or the person that
is paying them, but they roughly make 39,000-72,000 USD a year. Is college worth it

economist .com The engineers are needed in the world but specific engineers. These are
mechanical, civil, and ocean engineers that can get a job that will pay them well. Believe it or
not, there is a degree that is just engineering degree: College students who major in this degree
will not get paid as a mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, and civil engineer. It isnt specific
it is too general. For example, the student graduates from Harvard a straight A student, passed all
the required classes for the engineering degree and goes for an interview where they need
mechanical engineers. The owner of the company will ask the student if he knows anything
about mechanical engineering. The student will obviously tell the owner he only studied
engineering. He wont get hired because his degree is too general. His degree is engineering, it
isnt electrical, civil or ocean engineering. Thats why in college, if the student pursues a degree,
it needs to be specific, not a general degree, because then they will have to go back to school and
pursue a specific degree that people need out there.
For example, according to the article is college worth it? Economist.com, a student
who graduated with a Spanish degree from Kennesaw University went into debt of about 35,000
dollars after graduation since she couldnt find the job she wanted with the Spanish degree. She
worked in a clothing outlet store and a fast food restaurant that paid her eleven dollars an hour so
she would be able to pay off her debt. Since she found out that she was able to land a job that any
person can with a high school diploma, she decided to take a risky move to go back to her school
and pursue a degree in finance. After she graduated with that degree, she fell into more debt. She
was in 65,000 dollars in debt, but she landed a great job and was able to pay off her debt without
working in an outlet store. Now this person wasnt able to pay off her debt with an outlet store
job because of having a Spanish degree. Not many people need to hire someone with a Spanish
degree. Unless the student went to go get their credentials and become a Spanish teacher at a

highschool or better yet a professor at a college. Then she would be better off paying her debt
earlier. Check out some degrees that someone can literally look up or pick up a book about it
rather than wasting the students 4 years of commission down the drain. For example a lecture
degree, you are literally paying someone to tell you to read. worthless by Arron Clarey A
student does not need to pay someone to tell them to read if they already knew how to read ever
since 1st grade. Another degree is art an art major can make about 140,000 USD only if he can
get an agent that can get his art out there, making comics or illustrate books. That itself is a huge
risk one in a thousand become a successful artist to make this much money a year. A student can
learn how to speak Spanish by going on YouTube or surfing the web and typing in how to speak
Spanish. There are even TV programs that can teach them how to speak Spanish fluently. They
can even pick up a book and learn about the Spanish language. The students are able to do this
for free, to practice this for free not go to college and pay to practice or master in it. In the end,
the only thing that will benefit them is that they mastered it at one point that when they graduate
from their certain university they will ask themselves, now what? Just practice it, go get
another degree that the people need that is able to benefit them. People dont need a theatre
major to paint their cars, there is another certain degree that requires a professional to custom
paint a car. In this world a student should go to their catalog page and ask themself, what do
people need that I am able to be good at and use this career to get a good job? What is the supply
and demand?
People need these doctors, engineers, therapists, chiropractors, and dieticians because
people have everyday life problems with our health, housing, finance, and entertainment. There
are many students who go for majoring theatre or film and not so much that become doctors or
engineers because it is too much work. Is college worth itEconomist.com We demand or need

doctors. Students who are lecture majors, people already know how to read. Any English teacher
could teach someone how to read in a matter of weeks. Too many people are going for these
worthless majors that are able to do by simply picking up a book, these students should be able
to challenge themselves to actually have a comfortable and satisfying life. These students should
go investigate what will be worth that time consuming hard work that they have put in during
those 4-5 years in school because if they graduate with a lecture degree they are going to have a
hard time finding a well paid job to pay off their debt. Or they will need to go into one more year
of school to receive their credentials and become a great teacher to teach the art of reading. The
only solution that these majors can do to make a living, is to reteach the majors they were in,
such as a lecture, philosophy, Christianity, Biology, Sociology, and Archeology degrees.
From personal experience, this book opened my eyes into pursuing a mechanical
engineering degree since a lot of people need machines for transportation, televisions, for a
factory. People need machines for them to get their own jobs done. I strongly suggest the person
who is going to pursue a degree to really think about that archeology degree or theatre degree
and if it really is worth those four years of hard work and requirements that they put into after
they graduate if that degree can set them a satisfying and comfortable life. Yes college is worth it
if they are pursuing the right degree that is beneficial for them in the end of their graduation and
opening doors that they may walk through by have that right degree under their utility belt. It is
better than being a security guard and having a philosophy major under that belt. Go to college.
