Psychomotor

The student will be able to perform an 8 step count as well as incorporate multiple upper and lower body
movements that increase heart rate during Watch Me, Crank That, and Treasure.
The student will understand the physical fitness benefits of using their upper and lower body in the dance
sequence by answering questions related to personal fitness.
The student will appreciate the importance of social interaction by supporting themselves and others while
participating in the group dance.

Have you guys every seen

internet of a group of people
dancing to a popular song?
What songs have you heard in
the videos? What are some of
your favorite songs to dance to
right now?
So while were here were going
to be teaching you guys
different dances with different
themes each day. Todays
dance is Hip/hop! Were going to
be doing Watch Me, Treasure,
and Crank That. Crank That is
the Watch Me of our generation
so were excited to share it with
you!
Dance is a great workout that
incorporates your upper body
and your lower body
movements. When youre
dancing think of which moves
use the different areas of your
body.
Activity/Task
Split into four groups. Each
group learns both songs.
Watch Me: Teach in four parts:

Treasure:
First 8 count: 1-4- 4 steps
forward, clap. 5-8- 4 steps
backward, clap.
Second 8 count: 1,2- kick across
to right, arms cross to right. 3,4kick across to left, arms cross to
left. 5-8- arm bursts toward the
ceiling across body.
Third 8 count: 1-4- spin to the
right, clap. 5-8 spin to the left,
clap.
Fourth 8 count: 1-4- arm circle
clockwise over body. 5-8 arm
circle counter clockwise over
body.
Fifth 8 count: 1-4- alternating
arms points into a crouch. 5-8
