Accomplishments
- Research on All Home (agency in King County to end homelessness) and Facing
Homelessness (a similar project to mine focusing on ending negative stereotypes of the
homeless through photographs)
- Interview Danielle Winslow from All Home
- Brainstorm additional features to add to my website (interactive map, events list)
- Brainstorm another user persona for my website (government officials)
- Project validation
- Make decision that I will not be partnering with a homeless shelter
- Information design: create data table and insert through mySQL

Future Plans
- Take tutorials on HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP
- Design website layout. Think of what I want my website to look like
- Code homepage, possibly a simple layout
- Design project logo
- Gather data on homelessness demographics and statistics for information design

Risk/Setbacks
- I will be missing two days of class this week due to a four day conference in Spokane for
my campus job. I am concerned that I will be missing the lectures on cakePHP. Since
coding is not in my nature, I will most likely fall behind. When I am back from the
conference, I will be studying the class notes and asking classmates for clarification and
help.

Reflection
After completing the validation process, I feel more certain about the direction my project is
going towards. My personas, use case diagrams, and project goal is finalized and I know what
features my website will have. Now that the validation part is over, I need to start focusing on
the technical part of the project which is the website itself. I will be brainstorming how I want
the website to look.

I am planning on making time this week or next to get tutoring on cakePHP especially since I will
be missing class when we learn it.
