Builders and Bulldozers
-The class will be divided into
two teams
-One team will be designated at
the builders while the other
team is the bulldozers
-There will be cones set out all
over the gym floors
-To begin, half of the cones will
be tipped over and the other
half will be set upright
-It is the builders job to make
sure all the cones are set
upright
-It is the bulldozers job to upset
all the cones
-Bulldozers will start on one side
of the gym and builders will
start on the other
-When the teacher blows the
whistle, all students will go out
into the gym and try to set up
the cones or knock them over
with their hands, only.
-After one minute, teachers will
count how many cones are over
and how many are upright
-If there are more upright, the
builders win. If there are more
knocked over, the bulldozers
win
-Two rounds will be played with
assignments switched so each
child gets a turn to be a
bulldozer and a builder
-Students must stay inside the
boundaries

getting your heart beating
faster? Which stations worked
on our flexibility? How about
muscular strength?
Transition
Freeze! Place all your
equipment down and meet me
in the middle.
Closure
Place your hand over your
heart. Is it beating faster? If it is,
that means we increased our
heart rates! What stations
worked on increasing our heart
rates? How about flexibility?
What station worked on that?
Nutrition? Muscular Strength?
What kinds of activities do we
participate in that include these
areas of fitness? Next time we
see you, we will be working on
football!
