September 1915 the first tank was made and was called Little
Willie.
very slow
got overheated easily
couldn't cross trenches because it would get stuck.

A year later Big Willie was made and was ready for battle.
Tanks were first used in World War I at the Battle of Somme. They
came into battle in July of 1916.

The A41, M26, M41, and the M46 were the only tanks that were new to
battle during the Korean War

A41 Centurion
Was first made in the United Kingdom
They were produced right after WWII ended
There were 4,423 A41 Centurion made
They are still used today but very limited, were used a lot until the
1990s
Considered one of the most successful tank designs

M41 Walker Bulldog Light Tank

Was first made in the United States
There was a total of 3,728 M41 Walker Bulldog Light Tanks made
It is successor to M24 Chaffee light tank
It was also used in the Vietnam War
Eventually, was replaced by

M26 Pershing
Was first made in the United States
There was a total of 4,450 M26 Pershing made
Arrived at the very end of WWII, had no effect on the outcome of the
WWII
M26 was replaced by M46 Patton

It is the successor to M26 Pershing
The M46 patton was replaced by the M47 Patton in 1952
