Materials / Methods: Surveys and interviews will be the most important methods used. Materials can/will include
a writing utensil and paper or computer. A tape recorder can also be a very handy tool. Most of all, an open ear
and mind is vital to really understand whats important to the employee and what is not. A variety of survey
respondents is important to get the most accurate answer to the problem.
Personnel: I have worked for HDOS Enterprises for just over 9 years now. My experiences and relations with
employees will make it easy to directly contact them and set up needed research. It is important to interview in a
personal, secluded environment. To be helpful, we will divide a team of 4 into two teams of 2. Each team of two
will be assigned the mall location or the drive thru location.
Time Frame:
Week 1 Formulate Groups and devise plans and responsibilities for each team member
Week 2 Create handouts and arrange employee meetings. (i.e. Surveys, Questionnaires, Interview
Questions)
Week 3 Gather information. Brainstorm possible resolutions to the problem at hand.
Week 4 Implement the resolution and analyze.
Week 5 Present findings to the rest of the class.
Hurdles: Road blocks may include but are not limited to the following.
Employee involvement
Organizing interview times
Compiling an effective and relatable questionnaire/survey
Communicating the importance of employee spirit and work climate to corporate managers
Ensuring that our solution to the problem is relevant and easily achieved
