Dear Parents or Guardians,

I wanted to take the opportunity to quickly introduce myself. My

name is Marissa Palminteri and Im excited to say I will be student
teaching in Mrs. Schroeders classroom this semester! I am studying
elementary education at Drake University. In December I will graduate
with endorsements in reading and mathematics.
To give you a better idea of my personal background, I grew up
in a suburb of Chicago with two younger brothers (and a chocolate
lab!) I knew I wanted to become a teacher early on. I worked at a
daycare my first summer back from college, and have spent these past
few summers at Camp Sunnyside here in Des Moines.
I am grateful for the numerous practicum experiences the School
of Education has provided me with during my time at Drake. Each
classroom contains unique students with various experiences, but I
can say with certainty I always walk out having learned something new.
I look forward to getting to know and learn from your child even more!
