Other
Reflection:
I have never heard of a google trek before our last assignment and I found it to be a very good tool. I think it would be fun for
students to make a google trek for an assignment because they could actually use an interactive map to create their assignment
and have a visual to go with it. I also knew about primary and secondary sources but never really knew the difference and now I
do and it will be very helpful to me in my teaching so I can convey the proper knowledge to my students. I also think teaching
the difference between primary and secondary sources is helpful these days with all of the technology around us because you
can find pretty much anything on the internet but it doesnt tell you if it is a primary source or a secondary source so you will
need to figure that out for yourself by knowing the difference. Lastly, the google trek will be a good tool for me in the future
because I plan on teaching kindergarten or 1 st grade so they will just be starting to understand the different places in the world
and if I have a tool I can use to show them where these places are and where we are and where we are in relation to these places
that will be of great help to me and my students in understanding the geographic topics Im teaching.
