As a future educator it is important that I include a variety of educational websites for

students to use in the classroom and at home. I will incorporate the reading websites by allowing
students to break up into groups during work centers and practice any work weve gone over in
class. For example, if it was a first grade class I will allow them to go on Star Fall and review
their letter sounds/spelling. The math websites will be used after a lesson has been taught. This
will ensure that all students get plenty of practice. I will require all my students of any grade
level to access one of the reading, math, social studies or science website at least twenty minutes
a day. They may choose which ever subject they would like but one from each subject must be
done at least once a week. If they dont have access to a computer at home, I will give them time
during work centers or free time to complete the twenty minutes.
The Web Quests will be used during free time or at home as an extra credit assignment.
As for presentation tools, higher grade levels will have the opportunity to use any of the ones I
listed to create multimedia presentations and videos. If they are given a particular assignment or
project they could use any one of the presentation tools to professionally design a presentation
based on what they found. I believe technology is essential as it can help grade school students
cultivate schools that they can carry with them through college and as adults in the working
world.
