Subtraction

LO: To take a 1 digit number from a 2 digit number using a number line by first going to the
nearest 10.

This week we have been working on subtraction using a

number line. Remember, weve been practicing jumping to the
nearest 10 and then subtracting the rest in sensible jumps.
Heres an example:
15 - 7 =

First: 155 goes to 10!

Then take away 2 more

to get have a total of 7
taken away.
