and performance quality at State Solo and Ensemble.
o Only one ensemble can be selected for the nomination out of all ensembles
the judge may judge during that day.

o Had an article published in the school newspaper and school yearbook that
was chosen by my journalism teacher.

PCEP Art Academy Charity Benefit (2013-2015)


o Parafidy Quartet provided entertainment for this charity benefit for 3 years
performing for approximately 7 minutes.

Interests/Activities/Extra Curricular

Instrumental Music
In High School I was heavily involved with the band program. Some of the
ensembles that I was apart of are listed below.
o P-CEP Symphony Band (2011)
5 Hours a week in class rehearsal
Second to top level instrumental band at PCEP
Instrument: Alto Saxophone
o P-CEP Wind Ensemble (2012-2015)
5 Hours a week in class rehearsal
Top-level instrumental band at PCEP
Instrument: Alto Saxophone
o Parafidy Saxophone Quartet (2013-2015)
Approximately 5 hours a week and more hours of individual
practice.
Consists of four of the best saxophone players at P-CEP.
Play collegiate level chamber music as well as some self-arranged
music.
Performed at multiple charity events as well as some school board
meetings, talent shows, Honors Humanities projects, the Rose Bowl
Parade Gala for our school in 2015, and even some graduation
parties.
Received several Division 1 ratings at MSBOA Solo and Ensemble.
Received a nomination for Michigan Youth Arts Festival in 2015.
o Plymouth-Canton Marching Band (2011, 2012, and 2014)
Minimum of 19 hours a week, maximum of 24 hours a week and
more hours of individual practice and lessons.
Played Saxophone in 2011 and switched to drum line for the 2012
and 2014 seasons.
Participant in the 2011 Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York
City.
State Champions (2012 and 2014) as well as a Grand National
finalist in 2012.
o Plymouth-Canton Indoor Percussion (2012, 2013, and 2015)
Approximately 19 hours a week and multiple more hours of
individual practice

Approximately 1 to 1 and a half hour a day.

Arrange music along with others in my quartet for us to play. Mainly
arrangements of popular classical literature and even popular
songs.
Post High School Instrumental Music
o Redline Percussion (2015-Present)
Approximately 19 hours a week of rehearsal and many more hours
for individual practice.
Redline Percussion is an indoor percussion ensemble competing at
the Independent World Class level in WGI based in Canton MI.
World Class is the highest level of musical and chorographical
difficulty and skill achievable by a marching performer in the WGI
activity.
Currently a marching cymbal player.
