Starting off our third quarter in our Enhanced Science subject, we discussed about one of the important
bodily systems any complex organism must have in order to survive, the Nervous System. The first week
with our new teacher for our biology class started of very quick. Not being used to the style of having
lessons be taught to us very quickly, my head did quite hurt a bit at the start but I got used to it
immediately. The nervous system is very fascinating if you look at it in some other way. If you do think
about it you can say that the body is one computer and the nervous system is what you can call the
wirings. Imagine if you could put the power of the bodys nervous system in a computer; imagine the
capability of such a machine. If somehow someday one can replicate the effectiveness of the nervous
system then apply it to a computer, the face of technology could somehow change with the said
breakthrough. However there is to be a bigger problem that needs to be resolved before such technology
should be created. We all know that once nerve cells get damaged they are deemed irreparable, however
some scientists proposed the use stem cells to repair them but the community rejected the idea for its lack
of morality. There may be some other ways to repair them for it will be of great help for the whole
humanity.
