Practice Lesson Plan 1

1. Objectives-Students will play a (concert) Bb Major scale
2. Procedure-Students will play, hold, and listen to the first 4 notes of the Concert
Bb scale
-Students will play, hold, and listen to the second 4 notes of the
Concert Bb scale
-Students will play, in very slow tempo, the entire Concert Bb scale
-Students will perform a few repetitions of the scale, each time
increasing slightly in tempo.
3. Assessment-Students will perform the Concert Bb scale in small groups in class
-After a few days of this, students will perform the scale by themselves
for the instructor.
