State and federal laws require public schools to release report cards to the public each year. This year, the report card has been updated to
reflect changes in reporting directed by the SC Education Oversight Committee. Schools will not be rated for state accountability purposes until
Fall 2017 when the state will transition to a single accountability system. The following reports student performance in school year 2014-15.

characteristics of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by focusing on academically
enriching opportunities through monthly research initiatives, service learning projects, and
ensuring every student receives a challenging curriculum. In order to effectively move
forward, Brookdale must focus on improving all levels of achievement while ensuring that
standards remain high. Throughout the school year, students were provided with rich
opportunities to see how their classroom learning applies in a workplace setting. Teachers
helped students make connections between their learning in school and opportunities
outside school through field trips, simulations, and authentic tasks. To fully prepare
students to excel in college and the workforce in the 21st century Brookdale focused its
efforts around higher standards for curriculum and assessments, robust data, effective
instruction, and strategic help for struggling students.
