Introduction
The most important skill in the world in our routine life is language
or development of native language for speak it and communicate
with others. The languages are really important in human life but
are not as easy as humans believe. Which mean that people
believed the learning language just we getting it from the parent
without following stages to learning and acquiring the language.
Actually, when the parent got a baby, and they have spoken a lot
with his/her, the baby will acquire the mother tongue without
understanding meaning exactly. But through growing up of the baby
they will learn the message meaning being conveyed when will get
the form of the language when a child enters the school.The
humans have to learn and to acquire the native language from
family (in the house), teachers (in the school) and around the
environment (in our society).So, in my report I will explain more of
language learning and language acquiring in the first language in
general with support some of theories of native language in child's
life.
The language is a method of communication with others and allows
expressing their feels. To practice their mother language and got it
proficiency, they have learning from human childhood (INTRODUCTION TO
LANGUAGES) and "the learner needs a source of natural

communication. The emphasis is on the text of the communication


and not of the form". (Haynes, 1998-2005)

Language is learned or acquired


One of the kinds importance of cognitive development in children's
skills is language development. Krashen's theory helped in developing
field of children's language development with put stages to develop
process of language acquisition. Also, he found during his studied that
process of language acquisition takes
from language learning is difference
process of development (Linse, 2005).
Usually, children acquire their native
language from their family members,
caregivers and environment rounded. In
which mother language like both Arabic
Emirate and English are spoken and
heard equally will acquire both Arabic
Emirate and English as their first
languages (Kosur, 2012).

acquire the first language include one or more native language (which any
language in the world) (Linse, 2005) (Kosur, 2012).However, they will learn
the language with correctly pronunciation and context with correct
grammar because they in this stage are grow up in an environment
classroom when they enter the elementary school to learning grammar
rules after come language acquisition. So, both of parent and teacher
could have the main role in modifying the progress of language
development and effect on their learning language and them effort for
learning acquisition language to speak it in perfect.
I think, that children learn the first language in both ways of language that
is learning and acquisition. I support my opinion with Skinner and Krashen
theories of development language skills and behaviors are relate the
learning (input comprehensible do if it negative or positive verbal
behaviors). In specific learner's level, when they had grown up to acquire
meaning vocabulary and grammar to understand and produce a language
for mastery of the language skill.

Language as chunks or acquisition of the language


Chunks are a list of group words that help the learner in their language
skill in improvement. "It's including lexical phrases, set phrases,
grammatical chunks, verb pattern and fixed phrases all these focus in the
classroom also" (admin, 2006). Also, that way will assist their learning in
fast and easy to retain some of the chunks in their mind to use it when
they need to talk. This means that chunks have promoted learning for
example when they learn vocabulary in short chunks rather than learning
a whole list of vocabulary without makes a short sentence. So, using
chunks in environment classroom will develop their language and easy to
pick up in their mind.
For example of using chunks, " 'Utter disaster', 'by the way', 'at the end of
the day' " (admin, 2006)
Acquisition of the language is a system child acquires of any new
vocabulary and full sentence instead retain the chunks or using short
chunks. This includes many of types of vocabulary and sentences.

Recognized "stages" in L 1 acquisition


For instance, first language learning acquisition includes
four stages, they are:

Stage1. Pre-language "Babbling" (Three ten months)

This stage is an infant's knowledge all sounds to speech and learn to


hear phonemes, the rhythm of speech of their language. After long
time before they begin to talk and able to distinctive pronounce and

using vocalizations to express their emotions. (Stages of Language


Learning, 2013)

Stage2. The One word "Holophrastic" (Twelve eighteen


months)

In this stage, a baby can recognizable the phonemes have similar


words. Children can begin to pronouns it like mama, dada, and they
develop this stage during home environment and experience.
(Stages of Language Learning, 2013) For example, "For example, if a
childs father is bald, the child may point to a bald man walking
down the street and say, dada! assuming that all bald men are
their father". (Stages of Language Learning, 2013) That means the
child start known the meaning word and use it.

Stage3.The two-word ( Two years old)

At this stage, the child starts using complex words more than in the
previous stage. Also, he/she can know and recognizable items and
combine two words to speech it at the same time. Although of this
stage, the child can be combined more than two words with making
a nearly full-form sentence. (Stages of Language Learning, 2013)

Stage4. Telegraphic speech (Two three years old)

The child in during this stage cans mastery of using the complex
words skill and will increase his vocabulary list has. Moreover, the
child will acquire a material language and using the diverse term
with order clearly the form sentence correctly also they have more
physical and talk a lot (Stages of Language Learning, 2013).
After this stage, there are grow up to acquire new vocabulary in
language acquisition and have learning language in perfect with
correctly way when the child entry the primary school will learn step
by step to improve his language development.
Of course, these stages agreed with my analysis report and
illustration of the child's language acquisition in his life effective
from family and home environment before entering the elementary
school. In fact, that teacher has most effective on children to
improve their innate language (native language) and have the main
role in their modifying and classifying the progress of language
acquisition development by studying grammar rules and practice of
natural texts (speaking time with peers).

Nature or Nurture of the language


Language in nature:
Children who are born with an innate ability that is "nativism" that
differentiates between humans and animals. So, children's brain can
acquire language and use it. According to the Chomsky's theory, the
background of languages have some of the main concepts, so he
develop his theory of grammar is called, "universal grammar"
(Orfano, 2015). Also, he sees that will complex to takes from in
through nurture (language). Although, he said the language faculty
is considered as a biologically autonomous system in the brain in
genetic human. (Orfano, 2015)
All of the languages had a genetic basis during growing children and
when they born they had the genetic ability of produce language
and formed the language.

Language in nurture:
Children with having the innate capability when they birth, their
brain automatically acquire mother language from around them of
the environment and stored in the brain without known the
meaning. So, in nurture language, children spent a long time to
acquire language and grow up with understanding the mean of
vocabulary in language step by step. (Orfano, 2015)
Nature makes a greater happen in humans' life than nurture
because that without nature could have a problem with some of
human to acquire the languages and will make a blank in their brain
if who born without innate ability, but that is impossible to happen
in reality.

Conclusion
In summarizing, the language is one of importance in child's development
skills life, and I found during my research that children have to acquire and
learn in childhood human to be easer than learning the language in an
adult human. So, children have innate language form the birth which
means they have the capability of acquiring any language in the world as
the native language even if the child born in the foreign country. I analysis
that language acquisition and language learning are complete each other
together and without one of them couldn't learners to be perfect in his

mother language. So, children learn and acquire the language, habits,
behaviors, values of culture and they affect their environment mostly.
Because they are in grow up period, their brain is fresh can pick up all
things from family, home environment, society and classroom
environment. As similar as stages of the second/foreign language
acquisition, children can learn a new language from school or acquire in
another foreign country in foreign people. That will help them when they
have traveled or have to take a new language as a subject in the school
like English subjects if they Arab children.
