Student of the Week

Cal Frame
Happy Thanksgiving! As your STEM Scholar
teachers, we have so much to be thankful for.
Thank you for sharing your children with us.
We have such a awesome group of students
to teach. We are thankful for all of your
support both in and out of the classroom.
As we get ready for the next few weeks prior
to the next Holiday break, please encourage
your children to stay focused and finish the
year out strong.
Please consider supporting one of our very
on STEM Scholars on a used sporting
equipment drive. Any used/new sporting
equipment is welcome. This drive will
support children who are unable to play
sports due to not being able to afford the
equipment. Blue collection bins are located
in the main lobby.
Did you know that thare are many companies
that will match your donations to Laing and
our many programs? Many will even pay a
grant for volunteer hours. Please consider
looking at your company match programs.
Boeing and State Farm are the most recent to
donate/match programs at our school.

Thanks to all students who donated to

Operation Christmas Child. Our ELA classes
packed over 50 boxes of goodies and gifts for
children in third world countries while earning
extra credit for their generosity. Thanks for
your hard work packing the shoeboxes in my
absence! Keep brainstorming for your essay

topics and STEM projects over break--we will

pick up where we left off upon our return.
Remember to rest, relax, and RAPP read over
this next week. Enjoy family time and
friends!

Social Studies Mr. Garner

Please have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! I am

most grateful for the opportunity to teach
History to your students this year at Laing. I am
also extremely grateful to have such
supportive parents. I'd like to give a big shout
out to the parents who assisted with our
extremely successful STEM blitz this past
week. When we return from our break, in
Social Studies class we will wrap up our lessons
on Latin America. I fully expect to have a
short quiz on key terms and definitions by the
end of the week. The following week we will
have our DBQ on Imperialism. Thanks again for
all of your support!
