I. Introduction
a.) Men can be victims of domestic violence too.
b.) Thesis statement: Not only women are abused, but men as well because they also
experience domestic violence in their lifetime.

Body Paragraph Topic #1 Counterargument: Men can get hurt physically and emotionally
when they go through domestic violence.

a.)

Domestic violence against men isnt always easy to identify, but it can be a serious threat,
(Healthy Lifestyle Adult Health, 2014).

b.)

Men get traumatize which can affect them in so many ways such as causing them to be
depressed and anxious.

c.)

Transition sentence: Not only women are abused, but men as well because they also
experience domestic violence in their life time, and can go through many forms such as
emotional, sexual and physical abuse.

Body Paragraph Topic #2: Men can be a part of an abusive relationship.

a.)

Early in the relationship, your partner might seem attentive, generous and protective in
ways that later turn out to be controlling and frightening. Initially, the abuse might appear
as isolated incidents, (Healthy Lifestyle Adult Health, 2014).

Men are not easily recognized as a victim of domestic violence because they are reluctant
to go report their incident to the police.

Transition sentence: Although, people often assume that domestic violence victims are
women, men as well can experience domestic violence in their lifetime, and can go
through many forms such as emotional, sexual and physical abuse.

a.) In other relationships, domestic violence against men might include both partners
slapping or shoving each other when they get angry and neither partner seeing himself
or herself as being abused or controlled, (Healthy Lifestyle Adult Health, 2014).

Men experience domestic violence with an intimate partner such as trying to gain control
over them, threatens you with weapon or also either forcing you to have sex.

Transition sentence: Not only women are abused, but men as well because they also
experience domestic violence in their lifetime.

Many men don't seek help for domestic abuse because they fear that it will make them
look weak, (Its Time to Acknowledge Male Victims of Domestic, 2015).

The government provides both men and women who are victims of domestic violence
providing us with helplines, home shelters, programs, etc.
c.)
Transition sentence: Men also experience domestic violence in their life time, and can go
through many forms such as emotional, sexual and physical abuse.
