The question of accountability, it is not made clear who in fact is

responsible for these atrocities in the film. Goethe always seems to


be reporting to an unseen higher power and is restrained in this way.
The unnecessary amount of sub-plots that detract from the film by
emphasising Schindlers character, the most obvious example being
the subplot with Schindlers wife.
The very narrow sighted view on the whole situation. A total of 8
million Jews were exterminated, yet there is such emphasis on the
thousand saved. Throughout the film it is rare that a holistic view of
the imprisoned German demographic, but rather the 1000 is
emphasised to effectively focus on the minority saved.
