Ohio Senate Statehouse Columbus, Ohio 43215 March 24, 2010 The Honorable Richard Cordray Ohio Attorney General 30 E. Broad Street, 17th Floor Columbus, OH 43215-3428 Dear Attomey General Cordray, ‘On Tuesday, 14 state attorneys general filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Norther District of Florida challenging the constitutionally of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. We strongly request that you take immediate action to protect Ohioans freedoms by joining with your colleagues in this lawsuit. Itis in the best interest of our state and our citizens that we pursue this legal challenge. By forcing this mandate on our state without providing resources to the state to pay for it, the federal government is placing Ohio's budget in peril for years to come. Forcing Ohioans to purchase healthcare coverage or face monetary penalties flies in the face of the freedoms upon which this country and our state were founded. Thank you for your urgent attention to this matter, and in protecting the rights of our state and all Ohioans. Sincerely, (Arn?
