This Licence Agreement permits a single user te install the software on only ene computer at one location at anyone time. This licence permits you to make only one backup copy of the software. MEMORY REQUIREMENTS. Available memory wil mit the size of the data that can be handled by the Triangulation and Contouring parts of the program. Additional physical memory oF virtual memory should be provided for large data sets. TO INSTALL EZYSurf Remove all files associated with previous EZYSurf installations using Find Files ezy*.* (if applicable), Run EZYSURF ZIP and extract all files to your hard drive with paths set giving the sub directories INSTALL, LIBRARY. MENU and TUTORIAL, eg. C\Ezysurt = C:\Ezysurfinstall etc. ‘Start your AutoCAD drawing session. ADD THE EZY Surf MENU TO AUTOCAD R12, R13 and R14 AutoCAD versions: Use the AutoCAD MENULOAD command to load the EZYSURF.MNR or EZYSURF.MNC file stored within the CAEzysuriiMienuiR 13 or R14 sub directones. Althe command prompt enter MENULOAD Under the Menu groups tab, browse and find the EZYSURF.MNC file load, Go to the Menu bar tab, under menu group - Select EZYSurf Highlight EZYSurf and insert it where ever you wish, 2000 and above AutoCAD versions: Use the AutoCAD MENULOAD command to load the EZYSURF.MNS- file stored within the C:\EzysurfiMenuiR 15 sub directory. Althe command prompt enter MENULOAD Under the Menu groups tab, browse and find the EZYSURF.MNS or MNC file, click Open. Go to the Menu Bar tab - under Menu Group - select EZYSurf, Highlight EZWSurl and insert it wherever you wish. Page # Create TIN Description Creates tne Triongular lrrequiar Metwork (TIN) Tw (Trignqutor trreguiar Network) The triangular network is the basis of EzySurf's modeling options, The TIN is used for the colculation of contours, sections, earthworks, volumes etc, Each trongle in the TIN is defined by three points within the dota base. These points con be obtained from points, blocks, lines or polylines, Triangles example Tt ‘of a line ond 2 points Breoklines reoklines con be lines of polylines These lines represent a sharp ehonge of grade in the surface madel. The TIN/TRN con be sampled t0 determine maximum and minimum elevations. These con be used to determine the the number of zones to colour. e.g. If the maximum elevation is 20 ond the minimum ievation Is 5. a number of colour zones of 15 moy be chosen, off 3Dfoces which howe a averoge elevation between 5 and 6 will be coloured in the first colour. No of Trhongles The number of trlongles in the TIN/TRN, Number of Colour zones The number of zones to divide the TIN/TRN into to be coloured. 6 Colour Zones Uses the colours 1 to 6 ond then repeots Full Colour Uses the full 256 Colours, then repeots. By File Uses a file 10 specify the zones and coleur. Refer to example below Reset Colour Resets the TIN/TRN back to its original colour. OK Storts the process. Slope Analysis Qeseriation Colours the TIN/TRN given the minimum slope and the maximum slope in the colour chosen by the user. The slopes ore entered in degrees. (0 Is horizontal, 90 Is vertical), Select Slope Analysis fram the pull down menu, Prompt; Lower slope (degrees, Enter the lawer slope. Prompt: Upper slope (degrees)... Enter the upper slope Prompt: Enter the colour to use. Enter the colour you wish to assign to 3Dfaces within this ronge, Use Colour TIN/TRN to reset the TIN bock to its original colour. Flip Triangles Description Rearranges the triangles and updates the contours, (if contours have been generated). Prerequisites 4 TM/TRN must be created first, Con be used offer contours have been generated but not ofter they hove been enhanced. Select the triongle point to edit with the end object snop tool Prompt: New Elevation tor point (10.250). Enter the new elevation for this point or press enter to retain existing volue. Enter the elevation, if snapped to an existing triangle press enter and this triangle point's slavation will be used. Continues with these prompts for the next two points If contours have been generated ‘these will be computed for the new triangle. Select the location on the TIN ond the X,¥,2 wil be disployed, Insert Breaklines Description Inserts breaklines inte a generated TIN/TRN. Refer lo breaking exptonation under Create TH. Prerequisites: A TIM must be created firs Connet be used after contours hove been creoted, Select Insert Breakline from the pull down menu. Prompt: Select breaklines Select the fines or polyines that you wish to insert os breoklines. The lines chosen must lie over the TIM, Any line endpoints or polyline wertices that fie culside the existing tin will net be included. It Is important thot the TIN be deleted using this function rather thon using the Autocad Erase command which will couse errors. The purge command can then be used 19 delete the loyer DELTING if nothing resides on it. When the Contours are deleted the loyernomes are changed to DELCNTO rather than it being deleted. It is importont that the Contours be deleted using this function rother than using the Autoced Erase command which will couse ¢rrors. Select Delete Contours from the pull down menu. Enter the choinage value for this point, press enter to use default of 0.0. Prompt: Select first point of section in pion... Select the location in plan, Prompt: Enter the elevation for this point... The contours must have elevations assigned. Prerequisites Lines of polylines must exist in the drawing, Prompt: Enter stort point... Select the first point of your section. Prompt: Enter end point... Select the end point of you section, Prompt: Location for section., Select a clear spot on your drawing to draw the section The sections pone! will pop up now.
