This week I was focussing on adding more portamento to certain sections of

the piece Elegie as it is a romantic piece and working on the chords in the
piece.
I practiced sliding from one note to another and eventually incorporated that
into the piece.
I also practiced each chord pizzicato and memorized them to increase my
fluidity when eventually playing them using a bow.
I find playing the chords very difficult as you have to place one finger on two or
more strings and it often ends up making the string squeak. The portamento is
also difficult as it makes it more difficult to stay in tune.
I have been practicing Elegie by Delius this week and can now play the very
high notes in tune however I need to focus on improving the tone of the high
notes
Each session I have:
1. Refinger opening. Add more portamento. Aim for AString rather than E
2. Use metronome
3. Isolate chords individually. Place fingers from bottom up.
4. Do chords pizzicato
