iPads, smart board, doc camera, monster and animal pictures, handouts, craft supplies markers, crayons, construction paper, pom pom
tissue paper, beads, buttons etc,
Pow Tunes video followed by symmetry activity in which the students
identify symmetry by looking at their classmates faces.

1. Anticipatory set, using Powtoon, introduce symmetry, followed

construction paper, students will fold paper accordingly (in half
to complete shapes to show symmetry lines. Right after, Using
the smart board, images will be projected on to the smart board
that the students will then be directed to draw lines of symmetr

students to practice on app symmetry exercises for kids

symmetry, one student at a time will complete an animal pictur
using the smart board in front of the class. This activity will be
repeated daily adding a level of challenge to achieve mastery in
the subject. 5. Students will watch video to summarize concept

class to ensure the concept has been understood before final
project, which will be the final assessment. 7. Students will be
given their choice of craft supplies to create a symmetrical
picture.

The students, with the help of their classmates and teacher will use t
smartboard to identify if answers are correct as each student takes a
turn. The activity with the iPad will also be guided practice as the
students work with classmates and help each other. The animal pictu
activity will be guided by the teacher who will demonstrate what the
students are to do.
The two activities that will be done independently by the students wil
be the monster handout and the butterfly craft which will show the
students mastery of the concept of symmetry.

ESOL Both the powtoon and youtube videos have audio and will ass
students with pronunciation and mastery of concept.
Visually impaired Using the smart board the teacher can enlarge the
image during the animal picture activity.
