AUTHOR?

JOHN KEATS(1795-1821)
John Keats was an English
Romantic poet. He was one of
the main figures of the second
generation of Romantic poets,
along with Lord Byron and
Shelley, despite his work
having been in publication for
only four years before his
death.

THEME OF THE POEM

The poet presents his love
of beauty and of nature in a
different fashion. There are two
little almost invisible singers
who keep the scene alive with
their melodious singing. The
grasshopper and the cricket
represent the poets relentless
spirit
which
can
alleviate
misery in all seasons by his
unfailing aesthetic pursuits
