WHITE BLOOD CELLS

LYMPHOCYTES

A form of small white blood cells with a single


rouded nucleus, occuring especially in the
lymphatic system.

MONOCYTE

A large phagocytic white blood cell with a


simple oval nucleus and clear, greyish
cytoplasm.

NEUTROPHIL

The most abundant type of white blood cells in


most mammals and form an essential part of
the innate immune system.

EOSINOPHIL

They are white blood cells and one of the


immune system components responsible
for combating multicellular parasites and
certain infections in vertebrates.

BASOPHIL

A type of immune cell that has granules with


enzymes that are released during allergic reactions
and asthma.
