Casual guitar playing-in churchs

Capo-A device which clamps onto the fretboard acting as the nut. Allows unfriendly keys to be
changed to friendly
Bend- A technique used to raise the pitch of a note by pushing the string sideways across the
fretboard
Bridge- The part of the guitar where the strings transmit their vibrations to the soundboard. Made of
either wood or metal
Fret- The wire inset on fret board; also describes the distance between notes on the fretboard.
Double stop- two notes played simultaneously
Harmonic- A bell-like sound created by gently touching the string at certain points
Major-The quality of a chord having its intervals as the 1st, 3rd and 5th notes of the major scale

From what I have experienced the acoustic guitar player is usually very mellow and in the back of the
band.

From what I have found out by interviewing people it is not like that at all most of the time. After
watching videos and going to watch a friend play, they are very into the music and at the front of the
band, you can tell they are feeling the music.
