I have been working on the resonance of the open strings in double stopping and left hand pizzicato. I have also improved my bow control when playing chromatic scales slurred. I have found it difficult to play the rhythm correctly in "Dudziarz" as there are many dotted rhythms and parts of it are quite unpredictable.

I made the open strings in the piece Dudziarz the bagpipe player louder to give the f sections more body. I also improved my bow control when playing chromatic scales slurred by slowing my bow speed. I have found it difficult to play the rhythm correctly in Dudziarz as there are many dotted rhythms and parts of it are quite unpredictable. I will sing/clap the rhythm leaving out the ornaments before playing it to engrain it into my brain and when im more confident add in the ornaments. I have been practicing Dudziarz the bagpipe player this week and am now able to play the left hand pizz sections accurately and without hearing the other strings. I need to make the rhythm more accurate however. Each practice session I have been: 1.Using a metronome 2. Changing fingers for opening pizzicato 3. Making open strings longer 4. Making sur repeated phrases need more dynamic range. Don't rush ( bar 23) 5. Keeping the bow on the string until we hear all the notes when double stopping 6. From 35. Don't confuse the dotted pattern with semiquaver rest.
