To cast on and knit with Scarf Yarn:

To cast on, simple insert point of right hand needle, from
back to front into the pre-made holes along the top of the
fabric. To knit the yarn, insert the point of the right hand
needle into the first stitch on the left hand needle as if to
knit. Put the tip of the right hand needle through the next
hole along the edge of the yarn and pull the strand of
fabric on the needle through the stitch. Continue to knit
in this way.

Piccadilly x 1 58g ball

Needles: 3.75mm (US 5) 40cm circular and 5mm (US 8)
needles
Tension:
Yarn A: 8sts = 4 knit over garter stitch using 5mm (US 8)
needles and Yarn A
Yarn B: 22 sts = 4 over stocking stitch with 3.75mm(US
5) needles and Yarn B
Finished Measurements:
To fit 0-3(3-6,6-9,9-12) months,
Chest Width: 15(16, 17, 18) inches

Abbreviations:

yo = yarn over needle

K2tog = knit the next two sts together
SSK = Slip next two sts knitwise, one at a
time, then knit both sts together on the
right hand needle.

Skirt:
With Yarn A Cast on 30(32,34,36)sts,
Knit until you reach the end of Yarn A.
Bodice:
Switch to Yarn B and with the smaller needles knit into
the front, back and then the front again, of every stitch.
Cast 3 sts on at the end of the row.
Next row: (Wrong Side) Purl.
Continue in stocking stitch making the first buttonhole at
the beginning of the next row as follows: K2, yo, K2tog. K
to end of row. When the piece measures 0.5(1.0, 1.5, 2.0)
inches, ending on a wrong side row, follow instructions
for making armholes and shoulder decreasing given
below. AT THE SAME TIME, make a second

buttonhole at the beginning of a right side row

when the piece measures 1.25(1.5, 1.75, 2.0).
Armholes:
K 17 (18, 19, 20) sts. Cast off next 10 (11, 12, 13) sts.
K 36 (38, 40, 42) sts. Cast off 10 (11, 12, 13) sts.
K to end of row.
P 20 (21, 22, 23). Place marker (pm)
Cast on 26 (27, 28, 29), pm. P 36 (38, 40, 42), pm.
Cast on 26 (27, 28, 29), pm.
P to end of row.
Shoulder decreasing:
Row 1:*Knit to 2 sts before the marker, K2tog, move
marker, SSK* repeat 3 more times, then knit to end of
row.
Row 2: Purl
Repeat these two rows six more times.
Cast off loosely.
