Knowledge

In this particular unit, students


engage in the game of Flag Football,
in order to develop strategic thinking
and tactical knowledge to improve
their individual and team
performance. Students will be
introduced to the rules, and skills of
this game, preparing and
strengthening their skill set for a
round robin tournament. Throughout
the unit, Students are expected to
collaborate with team members,
planning strategies and practicing
set plays for responding to gamesbased tactical challenges. Students

Cross bar/ bin challenge: Organise students into a


massive circle and place the ball bin in the middle.
Students are then required to throw the ball in the bin
using the correct technique.

Crazy Catch: Students will be organized into groups of 4.


4 students will grab a football and stand in a square, and
one student will stand in the middle of the square. On the
teachers go, the student in the middle will catch a pass
from one student on the outside and throw it back to the
same person, then half-turn to the right to catch a pass
from the next student in the square, and so on so the
person in the middle has caught a pass from each of the
four outside students. Continue rounds until each student
has been in the middle.

Passing, Route Running: During this time, the students
will be in groups of 3 practicing the three new passing
routes in their own space. The students should rotate roles
each time. There will be one QB and two WRs. The QB will
call the routes; students line up on the line of scrimmage,
QB gives cadence, and WRs run their routes.
Activity 1: Invasion Runs: Simulation of rugby 1
defender/ 2 attackers. Defenders aim to intercept.
Attackers aim to invade the defender.
Activity 2: Team Run:
In teams, modified field with two halves, 3v2. The two
defenders stand in separate halves of the field, while the
three attackers work together to progress the ball to the
