“We Call From Tudia
!am writing to thank you for sharing my burden for the suffering
children in India through your faithful support. Without your love and
care, we would not be able to carry on this ministry of compassion.
When | was in India, many native missionaries met with me to
seek help in ministering to the needy and suffering multitudes. One of
the neediest areas is in the north India state of Sikkim, where we have
Operated a mission station and children’s home for many years. The last
few years there has been a freedom movement across thee border in
Tibet. As a result of this crackdown by the Communist Chinese govern-
ment, there are many refugees who have fled this genocide. Now there
are many orphans and widows who desperately need our help.
Please read the letter | received from a native missionary in the
Himalayas. It is heartbreaking to realize that they are subsisting on a
handful of rice each day, but are willing to share the little they have with
those who are needier.
Pray with me that the Lord will raise up sponsors here in our
Christian nation of America. For $500 monthly, we could sponsor
another home with around 30 children. | know most of us are doing all
we can. But we can pray for the Lord of the harvest to touch the hearts
of our brothers and sisters in America to catch a new vision for the poor
and needy in other nations who have so little.
Many years ago | spoke at a convention in America along with
one the leaders in the holiness movement. He was making an appeal for
support for missions. | will never forget his words: “Do your giving while
youre living; then you're knowing where it’s going” We are all getting
near the end of our time on earth. It is our custom the leave our money
to our children. But have you considered leaving a part of your posses-
sion to the children of India? A gift of $6,000 would care for 30 children
for an entire year!
Thank you for caring and sharing. May the Lord bless and prosper
you as only He can do.
