Movement
Movement is one of the Five Themes of Geography and it
can help geographers understand the world on how do
people work/move in each places. The theme movement is
actually How and why are places connected to each other
but it is also the ways people, product, information, and
ideas move from one place to another. Movement is
divided into 2 which is Local and Global. First, the Local
Movement. The Local Movement is the move that
happens locally, it is where something happens in your
country and something moves from a part of your country
to another part of it. For example, Roofi is from Indonesia
and I am Indonesian. It is Local because you are the same
with him, hes part of your country. If he is not from
Indonesia, he is not local. And another example,
Kalimantan cant produce any rice. So, they requested rice
from a part of Java and have it send to them. Second, the
Global movement. The Global movement is where the
move happens Globally, it is when something happens
from a certain country to another. And Global means
other countries to countries. To illustrate, I have a friend
who was born in Korea but lived in my country which is
Indonesia for around 10 years record until now. The
movement is that, he is Korean but he MOVED to
Indonesia. In Movement, there is Import and Export.
Import and Export are one of the Global movements.
Basically, Import is where you receive/buy something
from another country and bring it to your country. And
Export is where you send your countrys items from your
country to another or someone bought it and bring it to
their country. For Instance, In Hero, there is a mint
chocolate cookie by Arnotts which is actually imported
from Sydney in Australia. The movement is, Indonesia
doesnt have the product and so they bought it from Australia and sold it on Hero. And
for export, In Saudi Arabia, there is a supermarket which sells Indomie and it is exported
from Indonesia. The movement is, Arab doesnt have it so they bought it from us and sold
them. Movement is divided into 2 which is global and local. These can help us
understand about the world, how stuff moves from one place to another. Plus, also Import
and Export. Being that, Movement is just how work happens in the world. It is how stuff

works like how people go to school. I just discovered that geographers find movements in
the world makes them understand more about the world. Besides, Movement is about
how the world works. And, It is very helpful to make us understand about the world.
Also, It makes me understand how people work, use, do, and interact with each other in
the world globally and locally.

is work. Work means about
how something moves. Each
country, people move
differently and also
sometimes the same.
Movement is divided in to 2
things, Global and Local
Movement. Local movement
is activity, move, work that
happens within your country.
And for Global Movement, it
is activity, move, and work
that happens from a certain
country to another.
There are also 2 things in
Movement, it is Import and
Export. Import is where you
get an Item from another
country. For example, Rollups. We dont have it but we
sell it in Indonesia imported
from America. And for
Export, it is the same but
your country is the one who
give the product to a certain
country. I believe that Import
and Export is a part of Global
Movement.

interactions and the work that
happens in the world. The
notes is like a short
information and examples of

Understanding of the world
1. Global
- Global Movement is where
something happened between
a country and another
country. Global is where a
movement happened from a
certain country to another
country. Basically, it is
sometimes when a country
connects to each other, they
import products and they
export products. For example,
my friend was born in America
but he moved and have a
school life in Indonesia until
now. The Global movement is
that he was from another
country then he moved to
another country. It could also
be the same between
products, information, and
Ideas.
2. Local
- Local Movement is the same
as Global Movement, But it
happens within your country.
Global is from country to
country but Local is where
movement happens but only
inside your country, not
outside it. For instance, My
friend was born in a certain
part of Indonesia and he live
and have a school life in
another part of Indonesia.
The movement is, he moved
from a part of Indonesia to
another part of it. It is Local
because there is nothing
connected to the other
countries, it is just moving
within his country.
