The Globe Theatre

Globe Theatre
The globe theatre was a theatre In London associated with William
Shakespeare. It was built in 1599 by Shakespeare playing company. It was
destroyed by a fire on 29 June 1613. Another Globe theatre was built on the
same site in 1614. It is not know exactly where The Globe theatre was located
but some people records has identified the plot of land occupied by the Globe
as extending from the west side of modern-day Southwark bridge Road
eastwards as far as Porter Street and from Park Street southwards as far as
the back of Gatehouse Square.
The Rose Theatre
The Rose was built by dyer and businessman Philip Henslowe in 1587.
Henslowe built the Rose above an old rose garden on the Bankside near the
south shore of the Thames, in Surrey.
