Dear Ms Principal,
RE: Graduate Teacher Program, Reference #10200100
It is with great pleasure that I wish to apply for the position of Graduate Classroom Teacher at
Provincial Victoria Primary.
I am aware of the positive image that Provincial Victoria Primary School holds within the Provincial
Victoria community working with many of the sporting clubs and groups as well as strong
connections with the secondary colleges. I strongly agree with the focus on literacy and numeracy
while still being able to embed the remaining domains into a meaningful curriculum. I believe in
developing the whole student through planning and assessment, while catering for their individual
needs, in accordance to their rights and responsibilities of which I can see in Provincial Victoria
primarys philosophy of commitment towards all students achieving excellence.
I would like to become part of the team that is Provincial Victoria Primary and endorse the
positive outlook for all students. Celebrating individual and group achievements is a demonstration
of the recognition of the creativity and hard work of the students. Having grown up in the Sunbury
community myself, I understand the importance of being part of this enriched culture and the
overall influence positive involvements can have on a students perception of themselves. This can
also have great inspiration towards their role in the community which can have an affirmative
impact on the students future.
I feel that with my experience, I am versatile which provides strength towards the ever adapting
current day classroom. I aim to create a student-centered, inquiry based lessons while still keeping
focus on developing the students skills in conjunction with the AusVELS curriculum. I aim to
provide a happy, safe, engaging and stimulating environment, where students are able to become
active learners, while developing independence and boosting self-esteem. I place an emphasis on
the development of a strong self-image where children feel supported and have the ability to grow
within their learning environment. I aim to achieve excellence in my role as an educator of young
students learning and development.
As a graduate teacher, I am constantly looking for ways to continue to develop pedagogy and
be engaging in my own growth and development. I look forward to new challenges that I will be
faced with in teaching and the skills and knowledge that I am able to gain through professional
development, experience, reflection and the team I have the opportunity to work with.
Yours sincerely

Philosophy:
My belief is Individual results may vary. I hope to develop my philosophy towards
being able to inspire and teach children from a varied background and, individual
capabilities and intellect. I am committed towards providing the highest quality of
education for all children. I believe positive experiences in a childs early years of
schooling lay a solid foundation for their life ahead. Together with parents, I believe I
can assist the children in my class to grow into happy people that can make valuable
contributions towards their community. With use of the current curriculums, formative
and summative assessments I aim to install practices to encourage my students
towards global citizenship. Through access to the world and the community around
them via Information Technology and personal connections, each individual learner will
be able to determine their own abilities at school, within the community and also on a
worldwide scale.
