DONUT - Frosted

sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next
st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.
Work in continuous rnds; do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed.
DOUGHNUT
With crochet hook and A, ch 12.
Rnd 1: Join with slip st to make a ring. Work 2 sc in each ch. Place marker in first st
for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed - 24 sts.
Rnd 2: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 36 sts.
Rnds 3-12: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 13: *Sc2tog, sc in next st, rep from * around - 24 sts.
Rnd 14: *Sc2tog, rep from * around - 12 sts.
Fasten off.
FROSTING
With crochet hook and B, ch 12.
Rnd 1: Join with slip st to make a ring. Work 1 sc in each ch. Place marker in first st
for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed - 12 sts.
Rnd 2: *Working through back loops only, work 2 sc in next st, rep from * around 24 sts.
Rnd 3: *Working through back loops only, work 2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep
from * around - 36 sts.
Rnds 4-6: Working through back loops only, sc in each st around.
Rnd 7: * Sc in next st, sl st in next st, sc in next st, half double crochet in next st,
2 double crochet in next st, half double crochet in next st, rep from * around.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Sew last rnd to first rnd to make doughnut, stuff lightly before sewing closed.
Weave in ends.
To decorate Frosting, embroider scattered French knots or snip yarn into 1/4 in. (6
mm) lengths and glue to Frosting for sprinkles.
Glue Frosting to top of Doughnut.
