The Proposal

Criminal behaviour and violence are greatly viewed as worldwide public health
issues. The rapid increase in crime has notoriously shown it to be true. What if we were
able to identify future perpetrators before any criminal activity has the chance to even
take place? As a person whom loves to dig deep into psychology and looks well into the
many possibilities of creating a better environment, I propose the chance to scan and
observe the human brain of all residents as a precaution for future tragedies. It is known
by a great body of knowledge that criminal behaviour indeed has a neurological basis.
Researchers even believe that violent tendencies have a biological basis that several tests
and brain imaging can pick up. The idea that we can prevent crime by identifying and
treating people predisposed to violent behavior can be debated both ways. If you could
prevent a crime, would you?
